Programs and Fees

Our service programs are described briefly below.

Get-Acquainted Phone Call($0): Our first discussion with you has no charge or obligations.  It’s a time to get to know each other and talk through basic questions about your situation and our services.  You’ll gain a better understanding of how we operate and whether our programs suit your needs.  Click here to schedule a complimentary call.

Lightning Financial Session ($500 to $1,000):  A personal review of your financial status with a focus on particular challenges or immediate concerns – like a first checkup with a doctor, to help you spot deficiencies or prioritize goals.  Ideally suited for those just getting started, seeking a second opinion, or looking for financial education about issues such as insurance options, pension payouts, or saving for college.

Portfolio Makeover ($1,250 to $2000): An analysis of your existing portfolio and asset allocation (i.e., percent in stocks, bonds and cash) with detailed written recommendations. The Makeover examines options for lowering your current investment expenses and ensuring your portfolio matches your investment time horizon and tolerance for risk.  This review includes 401(k) accounts or other retirement savings plans.  (To review our investment philosophy, click here.)

Financial Roadmap ($2,000 to $3500): A comprehensive, long-term, uniquely personalized strategy for your financial independence and security. The Financial Roadmap typically covers all areas of your financial life, including:

  • Goal setting
  • Cash flow management
  • Insurance
  • Estate planning
  • Investments
  • Benefits
  • Retirement

This program is scalable, starting with a Basic Plan and adding other items to meet your unique needs.  Additional planning areas may include home purchase consulting and college funding.

Financial Road Trip ($3000 to $5000): A program similar to the Financial Roadmap but with the development process extended over 3 to 6 months.  The extended timeframe allows for multiple meetings (monthly or otherwise) to focus on the different elements of your financial plan.  You’ll be able to implement your plan in stages between the meetings, with your Planner available to answer any questions that arise.

Personalized Retirement Planning ($2,000 to $2500): A detailed review of retirement options based on your goals, financial picture, and current/projected income.  This is not a discussion of specific types of investments – we simply assume a conservative rate of return given your current asset allocation.  The purpose is to analyze a range of scenarios with various retirement ages, income levels, rates of return, etc., to identify the options that give you the greatest likelihood for success.

Continuing Partner Program ($1,000 to $5,000 annually): The Continuing Partner Program is based on a fixed annual fee, giving you the flexibility to schedule periodic review sessions at an interval of your choosing (e.g., annual, semi-annual, quarterly).  The program can include investment advisory services as well as financial planning services.  All questions or inquiries between meetings are covered by the fixed fee.  A valuable option if you want to delegate more of the implementation of your plan or if you have a number of areas to be addressed in the first year of engagement.

Annual Check-ups ($500 to $1,000): Just like your dentist, we encourage annual check-ups to keep you on the path to fiscal health.

Implementation Tasks ($250/hour):  If you would like assistance in implementing any facet of your comprehensive financial plan or other project, we can provide that assistance at an hourly rate.
